President Donald Trump will speak at a campaign event today at Gastonia Municipal Airport in North Carolina. First Lady Melania Trump visited an elementary school in Ashe County, North Carolina, on Tuesday to promote community resiliency and education technology.
The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, chaired by Senator Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, is considering an amendment to the Clean Air Act to update policies regarding prescribed fires as part of monitoring air quality.
Other House and Senate committees and subcommittees are considering measures to address trade, biotechnology and biosecurity, counterterrorism, energy policies, and offshore commerce. The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is also considering pending nominations of individuals to the federal bench.
